Message: “Settling Strife” from Pastor Chris Buttery

The history of ancient Pergamos is truly fascinating. The worship practices of that ancient people had a direct bearing on the message Jesus sent to the church.  Outside pagan practices were creeping into the church and causing the local members to stumble spiritually. Jesus was very concerned. But the local story depicted a time in Christian history where great compromises would be made with the gospel and the Word of God, preparing the way for the great period known as the Dark Ages. How did God seek to preserve His truth in such a hostile environment?
